How Our Tool Works — Your Files Stay Private

CompJPG is a 100% client-side image compression tool. This means:

• All image processing happens entirely in your web browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly.
• No images are ever uploaded to our servers or any third-party server.
• Your files never leave your device at any point during the compression process.
• We have no access to the images you compress.
• The tool holds image data temporarily in your browser while you work. It releases its references when you remove files or leave the tool. Downloaded files remain on your device.

Information We Collect

Website Requests and Contact Messages

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, receives request information such as your IP address, browser headers, requested page and request time to deliver and protect the Site. Advertising and font providers also receive network requests when their resources load. These requests do not include your selected images.

The contact form prepares a draft in your own email app. It does not submit messages to a website server. If you send the email, we receive the information you include and use it to respond to your request.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your images or any file content
• Personal identification information (unless you contact us voluntarily)
• Payment or financial data

Third-Party Services

Google AdSense

The Site includes Google AdSense code and may display advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place or read cookies on your browser and use web beacons or IP addresses in connection with advertising. Google AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to our Site or other websites. This version of CompJPG does not include Google Analytics.

The image tool itself does not need advertising cookies to work. The browser may cache application files for faster or offline visits; this cache does not store your selected images.

Ad providers may use advertising cookies. If you are shown a consent message, use it to accept or reject the purposes and vendors offered. Consent for advertising in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland requires a Google-certified consent platform. Google's European regulations message is one such option.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
